AGW 4/10
Dear Lancer Families,
As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we want to share a few important staff updates with our school community.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Fuller, who will be retiring from Preschool 3. Mrs. Fuller has been a beloved presence in our early childhood program, nurturing our youngest learners with care, joy, and deep faith. She has helped lay a strong foundation not only for their academic growth, but more importantly for their relationship with Christ. Her impact on our students and families will be felt for years to come.
We also celebrate Mrs. Baier as she retires from her role teaching Junior High Math. Mrs. Baier has been a valued member of both the math department and the Junior High team. Her dedication to her students and her colleagues will be greatly missed, and we are grateful for the many years she has shared her gifts with our school.
Mrs. Stieb will be transitioning from her role in 3rd grade to serve as our new Technology Director. In this position, she will support teachers in meaningfully integrating technology into their lessons while also helping students develop the essential skills they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world. We are excited to see the positive impact she will have in this new role.
Finally, Mr. Joe Fekech, our current Dean of Students, will be leaving St. Mike’s after accepting the position of Principal at St. Mary Immaculate in Plainfield—the parish and school where he grew up and attended as a student. While we will greatly miss his leadership and presence in our community, we are proud of him and wish him every success in this new chapter.
We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and service of these outstanding educators and leaders, and we wish each of them continued blessings in their future endeavors and retirement.

As we near the Feast of the Annunciation, when it was announced to our Mother Mary, that she would bear the Christ child, the St. Michael School Lancers for Life Club and the St. Michael Parish Respect Life Committee wanted to provide you and your family an opportunity to participate in a spiritual adoption prayer campaign along with the parish community. This program is a simple, yet effective pro-life activity that involves components of prayer, education, and outreach. The first step involves pledging to pray for the protection of a baby in the womb starting on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25th. We pray over the course of 9 months and finish on December 25 th , the birth of our Lord. We encourage you to give a name to the unborn baby you are praying for as a simple reminder that you are asking God to protect the life and health of a specific baby in his/her mother’s womb whose life and health may be in danger.
At the bottom of this paper is a prayer/pledge card written by the Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. Please cut out the prayer card for you to keep and use to pray daily for the baby you have “adopted.” Additionally, cut out the pledge heart and send it back the to school office as a pledge that you will pray daily for the next nine months. Your pledge hearts will be posted in the school as a sign that you and your family are praying for these innocent unborn babies.
We are also attaching a milestone chart with cool facts of the development of the baby inside the mother’s womb like when the baby’s heart starts beating, when a baby starts sucking his/her thumb, when the mother will start to feel the baby kicking, and other fun facts about his/her growth. As you are praying for this baby over the next nine months, these facts can help you be aware of the baby’s growth and development.
Please prayerfully consider participating in this simple program and add your prayers to thousands of others! Just like we pray for people who are walking among us, we want to pray for and be aware of babies growing in their mothers’ wombs, who are worthy of our love and compassion. Help the Lancers for Life and the Parish Respect Life Committee make sure these babies are prayed for and not forgotten.
In Christ,
Lancers for Life

School Calendar: The much anticipated 2026–2027 School Calendar is now available for viewing! Please click this LINK to access the full calendar and begin planning for the upcoming school year. As we do each year, we work hard to align our calendar with District 200 whenever possible to help limit the number of “No Bus Days” for our families. We also make every effort to stay in sync with other local Catholic High Schools, recognizing that many families have older children attending those schools. We hope this early release helps your family plan ahead for the year!
💬 Reminder! Order hot lunch! New students will need an ID number to complete the order. For your student’s meal order ID number, log into FACTS and click Resource Documents under School. Scroll down to: My Meal Order 25-26 students.
