AGW 4/24
Dear Lancer Families,
Our 8th Grade production of Aladdin, Jr. has been nothing short of spectacular! The students have truly shined on stage, and their talent, energy, and commitment have been evident in every scene. We are incredibly proud of the hard work they put in to bring this show to life—it has wowed audiences and created lasting memories.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs. Petrando for directing and producing yet another outstanding production. Her dedication and passion continue to elevate our theater program year after year. We’d also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our Parent Producers, Karen Kojak and Jorie Fanter, whose time and leadership were instrumental in making this show a success.
Of course, a production of this magnitude doesn’t happen without an entire team behind the scenes. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time and talents with costumes, makeup, props, set design, promotions, and more. This was truly a community effort, and we are so grateful to everyone who stepped in to help make this show such a success!

Hello SMPS Families!
Before the school year sneaks up on us, here’s why grabbing a school supply box kit is kind of the best idea ever:
No scavenger hunts — You won’t need divine intervention to find wide‑ruled paper in August.
Teacher-approved — Kits include exactly what our Catholic school teachers request, down to the last glue stick.
Built-in consistency — Every student starts with the same high‑quality supplies, which helps classrooms run smoothly.
Supports the school community — This is a fundraiser for St. Michael.
A little extra peace — And who doesn’t want more peace? St. Michael would be proud.
One click = done — A small miracle in itself. School Supply Kit pre-orders will be shipped DIRECTLY TO SCHOOL, LABELED and DELIVERED TO YOUR CHILD'S CLASSROOM before the 1st day of school. You can also choose to have your kit shipped to your home.
Let’s make back‑to‑school season a LOT easier for everyone.
If you have any questions, please email Celia Tagliareni - celiaryan11@gmail.com
Thank you!

As we near the Feast of the Annunciation, when it was announced to our Mother Mary, that she would bear the Christ child, the St. Michael School Lancers for Life Club and the St. Michael Parish Respect Life Committee wanted to provide you and your family an opportunity to participate in a spiritual adoption prayer campaign along with the parish community. This program is a simple, yet effective pro-life activity that involves components of prayer, education, and outreach. The first step involves pledging to pray for the protection of a baby in the womb starting on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25th. We pray over the course of 9 months and finish on December 25 th , the birth of our Lord. We encourage you to give a name to the unborn baby you are praying for as a simple reminder that you are asking God to protect the life and health of a specific baby in his/her mother’s womb whose life and health may be in danger.
At the bottom of this paper is a prayer/pledge card written by the Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. Please cut out the prayer card for you to keep and use to pray daily for the baby you have “adopted.” Additionally, cut out the pledge heart and send it back the to school office as a pledge that you will pray daily for the next nine months. Your pledge hearts will be posted in the school as a sign that you and your family are praying for these innocent unborn babies.
We are also attaching a milestone chart with cool facts of the development of the baby inside the mother’s womb like when the baby’s heart starts beating, when a baby starts sucking his/her thumb, when the mother will start to feel the baby kicking, and other fun facts about his/her growth. As you are praying for this baby over the next nine months, these facts can help you be aware of the baby’s growth and development.
Please prayerfully consider participating in this simple program and add your prayers to thousands of others! Just like we pray for people who are walking among us, we want to pray for and be aware of babies growing in their mothers’ wombs, who are worthy of our love and compassion. Help the Lancers for Life and the Parish Respect Life Committee make sure these babies are prayed for and not forgotten.
In Christ,
Lancers for Life

School Calendar: The much anticipated 2026–2027 School Calendar is now available for viewing! Please click this LINK to access the full calendar and begin planning for the upcoming school year. As we do each year, we work hard to align our calendar with District 200 whenever possible to help limit the number of “No Bus Days” for our families. We also make every effort to stay in sync with other local Catholic High Schools, recognizing that many families have older children attending those schools. We hope this early release helps your family plan ahead for the year!
💬 Reminder! Order hot lunch! New students will need an ID number to complete the order. For your student’s meal order ID number, log into FACTS and click Resource Documents under School. Scroll down to: My Meal Order 25-26 students.

For our first grade families, please consider signing the “Wait Until 8th” pledge. “Wait Until 8th” is a parent-led pledge where families join together and agree to delay giving their kids smartphones until at least the end of 8th grade. The pledge is already active for the current first grade class at St. Mikes, which means over ten families have signed. If you are interested in signing up, please do so at https://www.waituntil8th.org. Any questions, please direct to Joyce Tumminaro and Teresa Westfall.
