AGW 12/19
Dear Lancer Families,
Today, students and staff celebrated our 8th Annual Faith Rally. This year we put a lot of time and energy into revamping the Faith Rally to make it more engaging and meaningful for the students. The whole school gathered in the gymnasium with our Buddy Classes and enjoyed a time filled with singing and dancing to some popular worship songs. Fr. Sunny led a short prayer service where he shared the Gospel and gave students time to reflect on the birth of Jesus. We ended the Faith Rally with more singing and dancing to our favorite worship songs. This was a fantastic way to bring closure to the Advent Season here at St. Michael Parish School.
Many kids asked for the playlist…
Keeping Christ in Christmas - This past week, students participated in the Knights of Columbus Christmas Poster Contest. The theme was “Keeping Christ in Christmas.” The submissions were AMAZING…we have some truly talented artists at SMPS. The Knights awarded a cash prize for the top 3 winners. Congratulations to Madeline Beyer (1st Place), Lucia Colucci (2nd Place) and Natalie Schumaker (3rd Place). Great job!! Thank you to Brian Diamond (Grand Knight of council #2601) and all the other Knights who joined us at Mass to celebrate with our winners.
NO BUS Day: there will be no buses when we return on Monday, January 5th! Please mark your calendars and arrange to drop off and pick up that day.
Graduation Pictures: 8th Graders will have their Graduation Pictures taken on Thursday, January 8th.

As we approach the holiday season, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for each and every one of you. This has been a wonderful year so far, and we are so proud of the hard work, kindness, and growth our students have shown in and out of the classroom. We are truly blessed to have such a supportive school community.
We wish all our school families a blessed Christmas as we rejoice in the birth of Jesus Christ. May the peace, love, and hope of Christ fill your hearts this season and throughout the New Year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Make it a GREAT Holiday, Lancers!
