AGW 1/9
Dear Lancer Families,
It has been a joy welcoming our students and staff back after the Christmas break. This past week was intentionally a gentle one as we eased back into school routines and reconnected as a community.
Catholic Schools Week and Blue & Gold Gala: Looking ahead, we are excited to celebrate Catholic Schools Week at the end of the month—a special time to reflect on all that makes St. Michael such a wonderful place to learn, grow, and deepen our faith. We will kick off the week with our Annual Blue & Gold Gala on Friday, January 23rd. Tickets are still available, and the Early Bird pricing ends this Sunday, so be sure to take advantage of the discount if you haven’t purchased yet.
“I Forgot” Table: A friendly reminder about the “I Forgot” Table located in the vestibule of the front office: if your child forgets an item at home (homework, notebook or textbook, clothing item, library book, lunch, water bottle, etc.), please be sure the item is clearly labeled with your child’s name and simply place it on the table. Students are welcome to check the table throughout the day for their belongings. We appreciate your support in helping students learn responsibility and independence. Forgetting an item from time to time will not ruin a student’s day or their experience at SMPS—it’s all part of the learning process. With encouragement, patience, and a little practice, these moments often become great opportunities for growth.
8th Grade Play Announcement: We are excited to announce that this year’s 8th Grade Play will be Aladdin Jr.! Our talented 8th graders will be rehearsing over the next few months as they prepare to bring this magical story to life. Performances will take place on April 23rd and 24th, so be sure to mark your calendars now! Many more details—including ticket information and showtimes—will be shared in the coming weeks. We can’t wait to see our students shine on stage and share their hard work with our school community!
Queen of Hearts Raffle: Due to other schedule conflicts, the Queen of Hearts raffle drawings will resume on February 12th. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Thank you for your continued partnership, and we look forward to a wonderful second half of the school year!
Make it a GREAT Holiday, Lancers!
