AGW 2/27
Dear Lancer Families,
As we close out the second week of Lent, I am grateful for the many ways our school community continues to pray, reflect, and grow together during this sacred season. Lent invites us to slow down, refocus our hearts, and prepare for the joy of Easter through prayer, sacrifice, and service.
Today, our teachers and administration gathered at Benet Academy along with educators from across the Diocese for a day of reflection and professional development. It was a meaningful opportunity to step away from our daily routines, deepen our own Lenten journey, and collaborate with fellow Catholic educators. Days like today strengthen not only our professional practice but also our shared mission of forming the hearts and minds of our students.
NO School (3/6) - A reminder that we will have a second Teacher In-Service Day on Friday, March 6, so there will be no school that day.
Fish Frys - March 6 is also the first of our two Parish Fish Frys, beginning at 5:00 p.m. We hope to see many of our school families there in support of our parish community and to enjoy a wonderful Lenten tradition together.
Stations of the Cross - Although we have not been able to gather as a school for Stations of the Cross the past two weeks—and will miss next Friday as well—there are still opportunities to participate. Stations of the Cross are held in the church each Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. I encourage your family to consider attending as part of your Lenten observance.
School Advisory Board - St. Michael Parish School will have two to three openings on our School Advisory Board for the upcoming school year, and we are seeking interested current school parents to consider applying. Parents who are interested are asked to complete the attached application and email it to Stef Hull, Board Secretary, at stef.hull@me.com, no later than March 1st.
Executive Functioning Workshop - The Nurturing Wisdom Tutoring team will lead an interactive session for 7th & 8th Graders, focused on executive functioning skills and strategies, including organization, time management, and effective study habits. See the previous email for more details. Registration Deadline: Friday, March 6, 2026.
Thank you for your continued partnership in faith and education. May the remainder of Lent be a time of grace and renewal for your family.
Make it a GREAT day, Lancers!
Adam Ferguson
Principal
Congrats to all our 8th grade basketball players!

Surrender Workshop
“Jesus, I trust in you. But Seriously... What’s the Plan?
What if God isn’t asking you to figure it all out… but simply to trust Him in the middle of the mess?
Join us for a morning of sisterhood, laughter, inspiring stories, and powerful prayer practices as speaker and resilience coach Jenny Krumdrick invites us to experience the freedom of surrender.
Together we’ll explore:What surrender really means (and doesn’t!)
Why letting go of the outcome doesn’t mean we stop showing up
How to glorify God with our process, not just our perfection
A reimagined Surrender Novena prayer you can actually live out
You’ll leave feeling lighter, more aligned, and renewed for your Lenten journey, with practical ways to lay down your burdens and trust Jesus more deeply.
