AGW 3/6
Dear Lancer Families,
As we turn the calendar to March, we’re entering a wonderful three-week stretch of full weeks of school leading up to Spring Break. These weeks are especially important as we have just begun the 3rd trimester, making this a crucial time for students to stay focused, work hard, and stay ahead in their academics. Building strong habits and momentum now helps lay the foundation for a successful and confident finish to the school year. It’s a great time to build momentum in the classroom, enjoy the energy of the school community, and make the most of our time together before a well-deserved Spring Break. We’re looking forward to three great weeks of learning, laughter, and Lancer pride!
School Calendar: The much anticipated 2026–2027 School Calendar is now available for viewing! Please click this LINK to access the full calendar and begin planning for the upcoming school year. As we do each year, we work hard to align our calendar with District 200 whenever possible to help limit the number of “No Bus Days” for our families. We also make every effort to stay in sync with other local Catholic High Schools, recognizing that many families have older children attending those schools. We hope this early release helps your family plan ahead for the year!
Golf Outing: The 1st Annual “Lancers on the Links” Golf Outing will take place on June 5th, and we’re excited to invite our school community to a day of fun and fellowship on the course while supporting St. Michael Parish School. Registration opens Monday, March 16, and space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot early. This is a 21+ event, and all participants must register online at smpsgolfouting.givesmart.com. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support our community has shown throughout the year, and we’re looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to come together, support our school, and enjoy a great day of golf. More details and sponsorship opportunities are available on the website.
5th Grade Wax Museum: Our 5th Grade Wax Museum is just around the corner, and we invite parents and grandparents to join us on Monday, March 9th at 9:00am for this special event celebrating the great explorers of the world. Our students have spent time researching and learning about these historical figures and will bring them to life as part of this interactive experience. Guests will have the opportunity to walk through the museum, meet the explorers, and hear firsthand about their incredible journeys, discoveries, and adventures around the world. It’s a wonderful way to see the hard work, creativity, and learning our 5th graders have put into this project. We hope you can join us to experience their efforts and celebrate their exploration of history!
Make it a GREAT day, Lancers!

Hoops Fans! Championship Weekend and St Mikes still has 4 teams in the hunt for a trophy! All 4 teams are on the road and need to make it through the semi-finals first…
Boys 7th Grade B2 vs Visitation at StFrancis Xavier - Friday Night 6pm
Well coached with some big guys down low and some shifty speedsters bringing the ball up. They laid the smack down in the first round and look to continue with that momentum. Swing through the drive-thru line at the fish fry and head over!
Boys 7th Grade B1 vs John the Cross at StFrancis Xavier - Friday Night 7pm
Tallest kid in the league… toughest kid in the league… and some playmakers all around. This team was overlooked and forgotten because they battled injuries all year. They are finally healthy and look to shock the world! They won on a buzzer beater last week! You have already watched the other team win… stick around and cheer these boys on!
Boys 8th Grade B vs IC at StMary Mokena - Saturday Morning 10am
A super cohesive bunch with a great 12 punch. This team has been… right there as far as hoisting that Championship trophy over the last few years… but just short. With a win on Saturday morning this can be the year they do it! Good luck guys! Hop in the car and head to Mokena… it’s wonderful this time of the year.
Girls 8th Grade B vs SFX at St Pius - Saturday Morning 11am
Looking to make it back to back championships! This awesome group of girls are just relentless on the court. Super fun to watch… super supportive of each other. Let’s get an early morning win and play for the championship on Sunday.
Let’s show our Lancer support and cheer these awesome kids on to the championship!
GO LANCERS!
